Terms of Service

1. What Unmastered is

Unmastered is a marketplace where artists pay for written feedback on unfinished tracks, and reviewers are paid to give it. Unmastered provides the platform, holds payment in escrow, and handles disputes. We are not a party to the feedback itself.

2. Your account

You must give accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One person, one account.

3. Reviewer terms

By claiming a request you agree to deliver honest, specific, original feedback written by you, by the due date shown on the request.

You will not download, copy, share, sample, train on, or otherwise use a track outside of reviewing it. Tracks are unreleased and confidential.

You may not review your own tracks or tracks from accounts you control.

If you miss the due date, the request is released so another reviewer can claim it, you will not be paid for it, and a missed deadline is recorded on your profile. Missed deadlines may affect which requests you can claim in the future.

4. Artist terms

You confirm you have the right to upload the tracks you submit. You keep all rights to your music. Reviewers get only the limited right to listen to it in order to review it.

When you post a request, its price is held in escrow from your balance. It is released to the reviewer when you approve the feedback. If you dispute the feedback, our team reviews it, and the outcome may be a payout to the reviewer or a refund to you.

5. Payments and fees

Unmastered takes a percentage of each approved review. The rate will be shown before you pay or get paid. There is no subscription.

While the service is in test mode, balances are test funds and have no cash value.

6. Disputes

Either side can raise a problem with a request. Our team reviews the track, the brief and the feedback, and makes the final decision on escrow. We may remove feedback or accounts that break these terms.

7. Ending your account

You can stop using Unmastered at any time. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms, abuse other users, or put the platform at risk. Open requests are settled before an account is closed.

8. Liability

Feedback is one person’s opinion and is provided as is. Unmastered does not guarantee the quality of any review or any result from acting on it, and is not liable for indirect losses.
